What these words mean
- Small Buds
Whole flower in smaller buds, sold under names such as smalls, minis, littles, popcorn, or shmediums. They are the buds that fall below the size an MMTC sets for its standard whole flower. They often come from the lower or inner parts of the plant, which receive less light.
Small buds are still whole flower, not ground, not shake, and not trim. They usually cost less per gram. Potency and terpene content can match the larger buds of the same strain or run somewhat lower, so the lab report for the specific batch is a good way to compare.
- Sativa
On a menu, "Sativa" signals the effects the seller expects: energizing, uplifting, felt more in the head, suited to daytime. As with Indica, that is tradition and not a measured property.
- Low-THC Products
High-CBD products with very little THC: those that meet Florida's legal definition of "low-THC cannabis" (more than 10% CBD and 0.8% THC or less), and those made at 20:1 CBD:THC or higher. A 20:1 product can still be over 0.8% THC, so if you need the legal definition, check the THC on its lab report.
