Hash

Hash (also known as "hashish") is a concentrate made of the plant's resin glands, called trichomes, separated from the plant and gathered or pressed together. Trichomes are tiny, mushroom-shaped glands on the flower where the plant makes and stores cannabinoids and terpenes. The separation is mechanical (dry sifting, ice water, or hand rubbing), so it uses no chemical solvent.

Bubble Hash

Hash made with ice water, also called "ice water hash" or "water hash". Cannabis is stirred in ice water. The cold makes the trichome heads brittle, so they snap off the plant, sink, and are caught in a stack of mesh filter bags. Each bag has a different mesh size, measured in microns, so the resin is sorted by gland size. The collected hash is then dried in open air or in a freeze dryer.

The name comes from the way good hash bubbles when heated. Quality is graded informally on a 1-to-6-star scale by how cleanly the hash melts. Lower grades are smoked, used in edibles, or pressed into rosin. The highest grades can be vaporized as-is.

Indica

On a menu, "Indica" signals the effects the seller expects: relaxing, sedating, felt more in the body, suited to evening. That expectation is tradition, not a measured property of the product.
